OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

Adopting more sustainable ways of working

Sustainability starts with us.

Our vision for the future of workplace risk management includes a focus on helping businesses adopt more sustainable ways of working. And in order to support organisations on their journey towards this more modern approach, we have committed to infusing sustainability throughout our own ecosystem of business and operations.

We have made our supplier charter available online, which outlines our commitment to partnering with suppliers, contractors, and service providers who adhere to the highest standards when it comes to environmental protection and other ESG considerations, including ethics, fighting corruption, respect for human rights, compliance with labour standards, health and safety, and information security.

Our team has also developed an approach to sustainability that guides our work, and our innovation.

Reactec’s Three ‘P’s’ of Sustainability

Ultimately, our philosophy boils down to the belief that sustainability must live at the forefront of innovation, and this guiding principle underpins how we treat our people, how we develop our product, and how we care for our planet:

Sustainability and Our People

People are our most precious resource. They’re also our most vulnerable.

With a data-driven approach to workplace risk management, businesses can develop a more sustainable workforce that’s better protected from injuries and ill-health.

When workers or duty holders know exactly where they (or their teams) stand when it comes to their exposure to occupational risk from sources such as vibration, noise, dust, or dangerous hazards, they can work with more confidence, which drives efficiency and productivity and contributes to better job satisfaction and higher staff retention.

Sustainability and Our Product

Paper-based methods for monitoring and managing workplace risk aren’t just time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to manage, they’re decidedly unfriendly to the environment.

A cloud-powered solution, on the other hand, is eco-friendly and purpose-built to make the sharing of knowledge and insights easy and fast.

Plus, Reactec’s Safety-as-a-Service plans ensure the collection and environmentally appropriate disposal of all electronics, including recycling and upcycling where possible.

We also use recyclable packaging, and our tech is wrapped and delivered in recyclable cardboard and sealed with recyclable tape.

Sustainability and Our Planet

Our belief is that a series of small but important changes ultimately stack up to a transformation that makes a meaningful impact.

For our own day-to-day operations, our teams have taken meaningful steps to reduce our environmental impact and create more eco-friendly working environments.

From robust office waste management and recycling initiatives, to reduced electricity use, virtual and hybrid working models to reduce travel, and reduced dependence on paper products, our team shares an ongoing commitment to finding more sustainable, more future-proof ways of working.

A Product and a Promise

As a concept, sustainability can and does mean different things for different industries, but across every sector it inextricably links the development or refinement of products, processes, or services with an affirmative responsibility to identify exactly how your organisation will take social and/or environmental responsibility for what it is you’re putting out into the world. Importantly, this responsibility can no longer be divorced from innovation itself. To put it plainly: innovation that doesn’t contemplate issues of sustainability isn’t really innovation, at all.
