Internal Sales Team Leader

Location: Office based, Edinburgh  

Aims of the post:

The Team Leader is responsible for a combination of personal and team KPI and revenue-based targets. You will be expected to attain and exceed monthly sales targets, pipeline management and forecasts via a CRM. The role of the Internal Sales function is responsible for developing sales via inbound and outbound cold calling and upselling to existing customers. The role requires excellent customer qualification and where appropriate inbound lead allocation to the Business Development team based on the company criteria.


Job responsibilities:

  • Coaching and management of the Internal Sales Executives
  • Closing sales and achieving sales team targets
  • Receiving customer enquiries, qualifying potential requirement and allocation to either internal sales or business development based on customer potential criteria
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information via email
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound cold calls to potential customers, and following up on leads
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services via phone or online demonstrations
  • Staying informed about competing products and services
  • Upselling products and services
  • Researching and qualifying new leads
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Creating and maintaining Pipeline/customer/lead records on CRM

Internal sales executive requirements:

  • Evidence of consistent target achievement minimum of 24 months
  • Supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Ability to achieve targets
