Share important information with onsite teams
Communicating with your workers isn’t always straightforward. There are working environments which can make it difficult for teams to easily exchange information. These include worksites where mobile phone use is prohibited or impossible, or lone-worker situations, among others. And even within working environments where communication is not overly difficult, it’s not always possible to ensure that your workers have actually received the messages that you are sending them.
In this brief article, we’ll review how R-Link’s worker messaging functionality will make it possible for you to schedule messages and alerts to be sent to your teams. We’ll explore how the functionality will enable you to confirm when your workers have received a message, and how this technology can offer additional insight into your team’s health, safety and wellbeing.

Use Reactec Analytics to schedule messages and view key data
Worker messaging with R-Link enables duty holders or safety managers to schedule messages and alerts in advance. Messages can be quickly created and scheduled in Reactec Analytics for delivery to certain workers, at certain times, and on certain worksites, depending on what information needs to be conveyed.
For example: in these winter months, and as temperatures drop, R-Link’s messaging functionality allows you to pre-schedule messages to take precaution and wear extra layers, be mindful of icy conditions or reminders for your teams to regular breaks. And to ensure that your messages are received, you can require team members to acknowledge alerts (by simply clicking a button) once they’ve opened and read them.
This virtual paper-trail - including evidence of scheduled and sent messages, and confirmation of receipt by workers - is then stored in your Reactec Analytics, along with your other R-Link exposure data from vibration, dangerous proximity, noise, and dust. Importantly, you can also save messages and alerts for future use.
Communicating with your workers is essential for ensuring their safety and well-being, and for keeping them informed. On worksites where mobile phone use is prohibited or unreliable, or in situations where your workers are operating remotely or by themselves, R-Link’s worker messaging helps to ensure that information reaches your team. And with the power to schedule messages and alerts in advance, this technology is built to keep your workers informed without interrupting them or causing unnecessary distraction.
