Sam Thomas
Sales DirectorWith over 15 years’ experience working across the energy, aerospace and defence industries, Sam is an experienced international sales professional.
Sam joined Reactec in 2021 as Senior Business Development Manager before progressing to the role as Sales Director in 2022.
Sam leads the sales team across the UK and Europe with responsibility for the industry adoption of Reactec’s next generation wearable technology, R-Link, to the construction, utilities, rail and manufacturing sectors globally.

Peter Lamb
Operations ManagerPeter Lamb joined Reactec late 2017 with over 20 years’ experience in the electronics sector in a variety of Process, Engineering and Operational roles. After graduating from Strathclyde University with a MEng in Manufacturing Engineering and Management, Peter applied his skills with leading manufacturers such as Compaq and Packard Bell/ NEC before moving to SME businesses where he developed significant experience in After Market Services.
Peter is responsible for managing Reactec’s front end supply chain, service partners and for order fulfilment and logistics processes.
His team are also charged with the after-sale care of the customer experience, ensuring that the customer can make the best use of Reactec’s technology to address their requirements.

Mark-Paul Buckingham
Non-executive DirectorMark-Paul Buckingham was an original founder of Reactec as a spin out from Edinburgh University. Mark-Paul has a First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh and has obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering based on complex composite monitoring structures.
Mark-Paul’s core expertise is mechanical vibrations and he runs Xi-Engineering as a spin out from Reactec to help clients accelerate their research & development, solving complex engineering problems by applying advanced multiphysics simulation and measurement techniques.

Leif Anderson
Chief Technology OfficerLeif Anderson joined Reactec in 2016 and has a background in electromechanical engineering and life sciences having spent more than a decade developing life science instrumentation for medical diagnostics and biotech research markets across start up and multinational companies.
Leif is the driving force behind the passion for Reactec to be truly expert in the subject matters the business addresses, whether that be the human response to vibration or the regulatory requirements for managing health risks in the workplace.

Jacqui McLaughlin
Chief Executive OfficerJacqui McLaughlin joined Reactec from Smiths Group PLC, in 2014. Nine years of career progression within Smiths Group in various business leadership roles were preceded by nine years of product line managements responsibilities under venture capital ownership of a high-tech Scottish SME. High tech SME’s is where Jacqui’s career began in product design and project management.
Jacqui is passionate about applying technology to differentiate business performance and to make a difference to the end customer.
Jacqui has a First Class Honours in Electrical and Electronic engineering from Strathclyde University and owes much of her approach in team working to 20 years of competitive Hockey which included 45 caps representing Scotland.

Iain Mackay
ChairmanIain Mackay has an extensive background in a number of technology companies including COO at Intuitus, CIO at Wolfson Microelectronics, CTO of All-Hotels.com, and founder managing team member and CIO at Kwik-Fit Insurance. Iain helped all these businesses successfully through periods of rapid growth, investment and diversification. He has also advised on hundreds of PE investments throughout the UK and Europe.
Iain joined the board of Reactec in November 2019, and took up position of Chairman in July 2020.

Internal Sales and Support ManagerEvelyn Chapman joined Reactec in 2012 from the Tool Hire industry where she honed her customer service skills in that fast-paced sector.
Evelyn brings care and passion to managing the internal sales team and processes to deliver a fully supported product and training to Reactec’s customers.
As the ultimate super user Evelyn is one of the leading experts in the best use of Reactec’s Analytics software to make effective use of the data collected by Reactec’s products.

Eleanor Barnard
Finance DirectorEleanor Barnard joined Reactec in 2006 and has experienced first-hand the company’s growth through the development and commercialisation of its product offerings.
Eleanor was a post-doctoral research scientist before becoming a biotechnology entrepreneur, co-founding a spin-out from the University of Edinburgh that developed gene silencing technologies. After 6 years running the SME as Operations Director, she retrained as a chartered accountant. Eleanor is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with a 20-year career in SME’s.
Eleanor brings a unique combination of financial integrity with deep rooted expertise in Reactec’s core offering to ensure the business operates to the highest standards.

Alastair Hogg
Non-executive DirectorAlastair Hogg is an entrepreneurial commercial leader with a 20-year career dedicated to innovation and international growth in the Health & Safety product sector.
As Group Sales Director and member of the Executive Board of Latchways plc, Alastair played a leading role in the development and growth of the business from £5m to £50m+ in revenues, establishing Latchways as the globally acknowledged expert in its field. Following the acquisition of Latchways plc by MSA Safety in late 2015, Alastair remained with the business to lead and support the successful integration program.
Alastair joined the board of Reactec in November 2019.
