Noise dosimeters with real-time worker exposure monitoring

A personalised approach to occupational noise monitoring

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 (the ‘Noise Regulations’) require you to eliminate or reduce risks to health and safety from noise at work.

At Reactec we have teamed with experienced noise measurement experts to integrate their precision sensor technology into our ecosystem with automatic live data capture and cloud-based analytics to take the guesswork out of workplace noise monitoring.

Apply Reactec Prevention Engineering thinking with adequate real-world data to prioritise efforts to substitute or eliminate the most important risks. Moving out of the territory of guesswork and into the place where real change is affected.

Noise dosimeter integration across four leading brands

Ideagen integrates noise exposure data from four leading dosimeter and monitor brands, supporting both traditional devices and innovative in-ear monitors. For the first time ever, choose the solution that best fits your workforce - all within a single connected ecosystem.

How personal noise dosimeter monitoring works with the watch

Ideagen offers a range of noise dosimeters that integrate with the ecosystem to support effective monitoring and management of noise at workplace.

All devices can be allocated personally to a worker using the watch. Simply present your Operator ID card, navigate to the Noise menu and pair with your dosimeter. Data gathered by the devices is then personalised and transmitted to Reactec Analytics for automatic consolidation and reporting. Gain an unprecedented perspective of workplace risk with Ideagen’s ability to overlay a range of workplace risk data.

Real-time dosimeter noise feedback via the Ideagen watch

Pair any compatible noise dosimeter with the Ideagen watch to give workers personalised, real-time noise exposure data directly on their wrist.

Once paired, the watch automatically toggles between HAV and noise screens, showing current dB(A) levels and daily dose percentage. When exposure exceeds 80 or 85 dB(A), haptic alarms prompt workers to put on hearing protection - turning passive monitoring into active risk prevention.

Personal noise dosimeter options: compatible devices and integrations

Casella (TSI) - OmniWear Noise™ Dosimeter

A lightweight, wearable dosimeter that gives health and safety professionals simple, cost-effective workplace noise exposure monitoring

Larson Davies - Spartan™ Wireless Noise Dosimeter

A Noise dosimeter designed for occupational hygiene professionals. The Spartan integrates seamlessly with the Ideagen ecosystem via the watch, enabling automated data capture and real-time exposure alerts for workers in high-noise environments.

Pambry - PED 0828 Personal Noise Dose Meter

A compliant, cost effective option, the PED 0828 is lightweight and well suited to all-day, every-day monitoring. Pair it with the watch for real-time feedback to the worker of their accumulated daily exposure.

The Cirrus doseBadge5

Awaiting integration with the watch but available with Rasor

A high performance noise dosimeter that allows you to make compliant occupational noise exposure measurements. With real-time octave band measurements this would be the essential choice when looking to characterise a noise environment in order to choose the most appropriate hearing protection.

Building an effective noise dosimeter monitoring programme

Initial assessment

Rotate dosimeters across different areas to establish baseline noise levels and identify hotspots.

Targeted monitoring

Focus on workers in high-noise zones or with low PPE adoption; monitor regularly to drive behavioural change and improve compliance.

Personalised exposure monitoring

Automatically capture each worker’s exposure by pairing their noise device with the watch. This removes manual steps and ensures accurate, individual records.

Real-time alerts and coaching

The watch prompts workers to wear hearing protection when action levels are exceeded, turning passive monitoring into active behavioural coaching.

Live noise data

Well-positioned Gateways give supervisors live noise-level visibility across the site.

Automated analytics and documentation

The cloud platform refreshes noise reports and trend analysis by worker, team, or location — ready for audits or incident investigations.
